RYA Marine Radio VHF/SRC

1 day course £130*

*plus £76 exam fee

The RYA Marine VHF Radio Course is for anyone who operates a fixed or a handheld marine VHF (Very High Frequency) Radio.  The VHF radio is a very important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures and regulations.  The SRC is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of the VHF and VHF DSC (Digital Selective Calling) equipment.

The course is 10 hours in duration and is split between 3 hours of pre-course reading, and 7 hours in the classroom. There is an independent examination at the end of the course which consists of a written and a practical examination. You will be sent a link to make the payment for the exam in your booking confirmation email.

This course can also be studied online. However, your exam must be taken within the classroom and this must be at a registered RYA school. If successful, your examiner will issue you the licence through the RYA.
