Below are details of some of the funding opportunities that may be available to you if you are a commercial seafarer, to assist with the cost of your training.

Nautilus Slater Fund

Nautilus funding is available for any course that leads to an MCA Certificate of Competence such as Master 200gt & Master 500gt. STCW, ECDIS, and Master 200gt Prep courses are all accepted courses. MCA Small Ships Navigation & Radar may also be accepted.

Support for Maritime Training (SMarT) Funding

SMarT funding is claimed on behalf of trainees by sponsoring companies enrolled in the scheme.

It is designed to help support up to 50% of training costs, subject to eligibility requirements for MCA Courses.
