RYA Powerboat Level 2
2 days £350
This is primarily a boat handling course where you will be prepared to drive a powerboat unsupervised with confidence.
Although most people start with Powerboat 2, we also offer RYA Powerboat 1, minimum age 8 years. If you are interested in this course, please contact us
This course is largely practical, on board the powerboat. There are some short theory sections to complete. The course provides everything you need to become confident and competent at boat handling whilst being aware of the associated safety considerations and equipment. It is broadly equivalent to a series of driving lessons, but a lot more fun. You may wish to consider following up this course with the Intermediate Powerboat course which covers high-speed navigation and passage-making in far more detail.
The ICC can be added to this qualification for a fee paid to the RYA - read more here
